And clinging longingly to its mooring,
In supplication to a slow and wistful breeze,
Fell, dancing to a more somber tone.
Played out its throes to a rising moon.
Sang a quiet litany to sun-bleached bone.

And parting quickly and unobtrusive,
Apologetic to the thought that softly drowns.
Sank, distanced with a single pace.
Faded without simple touch or trait.
Murmured that the hand might stay upon the face.
Dreams, ideals are as frail as we are…

I know you wrote and posted this ages ago but I never got around to commenting on it for some reason or another so here I am commenting on it now, anyways its really well done the imagery is amazing and I cant get over the first two lines they are fantastic!
